How to change the pitch of a song
- Upload the song (MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC… or a video, up to 80 MB).
- Move Pitch: each step is one semitone. −2 lowers it a whole tone; +12 raises it an octave.
- Move Speed to speed it up or slow it down as well (0.5x to 2x). You can already hear the speed in the preview.
- If you only want part of it, trim it in the same editor. Then Process and download.
Pitch and speed are different things
- Pitch: how high or low the song sounds, without changing its length.
- Speed: how fast it plays, without changing the pitch.
- Move both to get the nightcore effect, or a slowed and deeper version.
What people use it for
- Singing in your key: drop a song 1 or 2 semitones when it’s too high for you.
- Practising an instrument: slow a solo to 0.75x to learn it note by note.
- Tuning to a recording: fix a song recorded a half step sharp or flat.
If the song is on YouTube, the YouTube to MP3 converter has speed and pitch too. To keep just part of it: audio trimmer.
Frequently asked questions
Does changing the pitch ruin the sound?
Shifts of 1 to 3 semitones are barely noticeable. Big shifts (over 6) make voices sound artificial, as in any software.
Is it free?
Yes, no sign-up and no watermark.
How long does it take?
As long as the upload, plus a few seconds of processing.
